Project Size: ~12,000 square feet
Scope of Work: The historic San Francisco War Memorial Opera House needed to have the seating to be rearranged on the first floor to better accommodate the viewing angles. An additional challenge was to also document the “mushroom-like” floor vents that could not be relocated and the new seating arrangement could not interfere with the vents.
Results: Deep Design Studio 3D surveyed the entire auditorium and capturing the vents under the seating. That scan data was process and registered together to create a 3D point cloud to be inserted into Revit. This allowed for easy modeling of the space, the seating and vents as well as analyzing the slope of the floor and the current ADA conditions in the aisles.
